What does TED (EU tenders) return?

Official fields: (confirmed in a live search response) publication-number; notice-type (for example can-standard for contract award); classification-cpv; buyer-name (by language); links to XML and PDF in each language. Also accepted as search fields: buyer-country; winner-name; total-value; deadline-receipt-tender-date-lot (values not populated in the sampled notice, so coverage per notice not confirmed). Full eForms field catalogue is in the TED docs.

What can you derive from it?

1. Live demand: open tenders in a portco's CPV codes by country and deadline. 2. Award winners: suppliers named on contract award notices must now deliver and may need capacity, subcontractors or tools. 3. Buyer spend pattern: repeated tenders by the same buyer and CPV code show recurring needs and renewal timing. 4. Competitor wins: competitor names on awards show where they are winning in the EU. 5. Market growth: tender counts and values by CPV over time show category growth.

How would a GTM team use it?

1. Revenue trigger: alert sales when a public body in a target country publishes a tender in the portco's CPV codes. 2. Buyer map: list award winners in adjacent categories as partners or customers who must now deliver. 3. Competitive watch: track competitor awards and contract values each month. 4. Market map: size EU public demand by CPV and country before expansion. 5. PE screen: rank targets by public-sector award share and concentration risk.

What are the caveats?

Not a native Clay integration as of 2026-10-17 (checked against Clay's integrations catalog). Can be called through Clay's HTTP API column where an API exists. Causality: external source; shows a tender or award was published, not why or the final spend. Coverage: only tenders above EU thresholds plus voluntary notices; values and winner names are not always filled; text is multilingual; eForms migration in 2023 changed the field model, so older notices use different structures.
