What can you derive from it?
1. Payroll size proxy: first-draw loans were about 2.5 times monthly payroll, so loan amount plus JobsReported gives a 2020 to 2021 headcount and payroll band for private companies. 2. Private company universe by NAICS and county with address and business type. 3. Franchise ownership: FranchiseName links operators to brands. 4. Lender relationships: which banks serve a segment. 5. Business age and forgiveness status as survival signals.
How would a GTM team use it?
1. TAM build: private companies in a NAICS with 50 to 500 jobs reported in target states. 2. PE screen: companies with large forgiven loans and young BusinessAgeDescription for add-on sourcing. 3. Buyer map: franchisees of a brand by county for a franchise-services client. 4. Diligence: cross-check a target's 2020 headcount claims. 5. Market map: lenders by segment share for a fintech client.
What are the caveats?
Not a native Clay integration as of 2026-10-17 (checked against Clay's integrations catalog). Can be called through Clay's HTTP API column where an API exists. Static snapshot of 2020 to 2021 loans; many borrowers have since closed, merged or grown. Loan size is a payroll proxy, not revenue. Borrower names are messy and need matching; sole proprietors and individuals appear, so filter BusinessType before outreach. Demographic fields are voluntary and often unanswered. Enigma (in Clay) sells small-business profiles but is not this raw file.
